Tuesday, June 24, 2003, 11:00 a.m. Cannon Terrace (NW corner of the Cannon House Office Building), Washington D.C.

In support of the Prison Rape Reduction Act of 2003 (H.R. 1707), Stories of Survival brings together legislators, activists, survivors of prisoner rape and their families. The event gives a voice to men and women from across the nation whose lives have been affected by this widespread human rights abuse.

Speakers include survivors of rape behind bars and their family members, as well as co-sponsors of H.R. 1707. Supporting organizations include Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Justice Fellowship, Justice Policy Institute, National CURE, Open Society Policy Center, and Prison Fellowship Ministries.
