Overview:
The SCORCH 2025 Annual Meeting is an In-Person meeting to be held in Denver, Colorado at The Art Hotel, September 11 - 12, 2025. Attendance at the SCORCH Annual Meeting is limited to SCORCH members only, or one’s approved designee. The meeting will not be recorded and remote participation is not an option.
Program:
The educational program will be available in the summer of 2025. For planning purposes, do note that the meeting will start at 8 AM on Thursday, September 11th, and conclude by 5:00 PM on Friday, September 12th.
Leadership Skill Development and Team Building Seminar: Utilizing Art Museum-based Techniques
Wednesday, September 10, 2 – 5 PM
Denver Art Museum
This 3-hour optional pre-conference seminar will engage participants in powerfully connecting with and studying pedagogies rooted in art museum practices. These include Visual Thinking Strategies and Personal Responses Tours. We will experience these techniques at the Denver Art Museum, reflecting on our experiences and how they connect with our roles as leaders. Participants will also learn facilitation techniques and how to organize an art-based event or session at their own institution. This seminar is hosted by Sarah Milla and is free with preregistration. Please commit to arriving promptly by 2:00 PM and staying for the entire 3-hour session. The SCORCH opening reception will immediately follow at the Denver Art Museum.

Gather with your colleagues at the SCORCH social events. Attire is business casual. Guests are limited to one per attendee and guest fees do apply. The pre-conference seminar is limited to meeting attendees only. We hope you will join us!
Membership Requirement:
The SCORCH Annual Meeting is restricted to SCORCH members and their designees.
If you are unable to join us and would like to send a designee in your stead, please notify the SCORCH office via email at scorch@spr.org. If you would like for an additional representative from your institution to join you at the meeting, we welcome their participation as well. Notification must be sent to the SCORCH office via email at scorch@spr.org for processing in advance of designee registration. Each institution is allotted up to two participants, irrespective of their primary meeting role (e.g., chief/chair, invited speaker, scholarship recipient, or invited designee). All designees must be a member of the SPR.
SCORCH annual dues no longer include registration to the annual meeting. Both SCORCH members and their designees will be assessed a registration fee which will include breakfast and lunch on both days of the meeting in addition to a reception the evening prior to the first day of the meeting and the group dinner held on the first evening of the meeting.
