Overview
This 2 day live online course provides practical guidance on protocoling and interpreting complex musculoskeletal MRI in older children and adolescents, with a focus on sports injuries. Unlike, traditional MSK imaging courses, which often emphasize pathology rarely encountered in the pediatric population, this course is specifically tailored to the education needs of pediatric radiologists.

Musculoskeletal MR in older children and adolescent patients presents unique challenges that are distinct from both pediatric and adult imaging.  The developing skeleton, open growth plates and age specific injury patterns require specialized approach to imaging technique and interpretation. This course offers an in-depth, case based exploration of the most clinically relevant topics in adolescent MSK MRI.

Target Audience
General pediatric radiologists seeking to advance knowledge of sports related musculoskeletal injuries and hip pathology, with focus on older children and adolescents. Radiology residents and fellows with a strong interest in pediatric imaging.

Learning Objectives
1. Discuss the pre and post operative appearance of the most common sport-related injuries seen in older children and teens
2. Review the imaging of hip impingement and hip dysplasia beyond the childhood
3. Discuss MSK sports and hip imaging protocols, and how to trouble shoot difficult MR sequences
